Fire Risk Assessments
The Fire Safety Order consolidates all previous fire safety legislation, with the emphasis on fire prevention through risk assessment.
Fire certificates have been abolished and no longer have legal status. You must now have a Fire Safety Risk Assessment.
A Fire Risk Assessment will provide you with a detailed report, which identifies your fire safety compliance, access and escape routes, signage and building materials.
Legal responsibility for complying with the Fire Safety Order rests with the 'responsible person', the person who is;
- Responsible for a business premises
- In a licensed property
- An employer
- Responsible for a charity or voluntary organisation
Our professionally qualified and experienced consultants work with the client to carry out and document a detailed fire risk assessment which records all significant findings, as well as listing measures taken to control the risks identified.
The assessor will assess your fire safety procedures and emergency plan, and inspect all the relevant records and fire safety equipment. He will conduct a detailed observation of the premises and, discuss any areas for concern which are non-compliant.
He will discuss any findings which have become apparent from the assessment, along with advice on how to rectify the findings in the best possible way.
Bridge Safety and Training will create a site specific, suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment which is relevant to your business, irrespective of how large or small.
