Annual Refresher Half Day
This half day course provides delegates with an opportunity to update their knowledge and skills at any time during the 3 year period as a qualified First Aider.
Who should attend?
The course is designed for anyone who is currently in possession of a valid 3year First Aid at Work (FAW) or an Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate. The HSE strongly recommends that you attend a refresher session once every year during the 3year period. This course is open to anyone aged 14 yrs or over, although under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult (family member, guardian or written family consent)

This course is aimed at updating you on any change in legislation and refreshing your First Aid knowledge through a series of practical, hands on scenarios.

- Child and Baby Basic Life Support
Course duration
The course is usually held over half a day totalling 3hrs including coffee breaks. The course is normally held at Bridge Safety and Training premises although, if required we can deliver the course at the client’s premises specifically for their employees.
Assessment and certification
Assessment is continuous throughout. As a FAW or EFAW certificate is still valid, no further certificate is required. Please note that in the last 6 months of your FAW / EFAW certificate expiring you must attend and pass a 2 day requalification course to renew your FAW / EFAW qualification for a further 3 years. Please note that although anyone aged 14+ can attend this course and be certificated as such. It is only when the young learner reaches the age of 16 and able to work full-time; that the official title of First Aider can come into effect.

We will remind you when your qualification requires updating and inform you on any legislation change that may occur.
