Introduction to our company
After many years of work in facilities management, followed by construction industry experience in Health & Safety Management, I created the company in August 2010. Our aim: to provide real value in Health & Safety Consultancy & Training.
Our key commitment is to provide no-nonsense, high quality, value for money Health and Safety advice, which we then underpin with appropriate training as required.
Everyone involved at the company shares this commitment.
As managing Director, I bring the following experience to the role:
Project managing new build community centres; I have been appointed to the role of CDM Co-ordinator by local authorities, schools and community groups
Developing asbestos management plans in a range of circumstances, both in a facilities management role and in refurbishment and demolition applications,
Asbestos awareness training across all trades: we are a preferred provider to FE colleges (apprentices and staff) plus other clients and their sub-contractors
Accident & Incident investigations - I recently gave a presentation on this subject to an IOSH Branch meeting
Advice and policy development and the practical application of Occupational Health & Safety.
Over the years, I have developed an acute understanding of Health and Safety Legislation across a wide range of industries, specifically construction and fabrication / engineering.
I enjoy an excellent working relationship with the Health and Safety Executive and I am currently the deputy-chair of the South Yorkshire & Humberside construction health and safety group “Working Well Together” (an HSE initiative).
I also advise and update the Federation of Master Builders at the South Yorkshire regional meetings on a quarterly basis and have done for the past 2 years.
